Delaney's day...

Wednesday was Delaney's sixth birthday.......wait a second............OK, done getting all emotional. Brittany did some crazy prepping and planning getting ready for Delaney's school birthday, kid birthday and family birthday as well. We were saying how we were going to keep it low-key with just a few friends and such, but it's still amazing how much you have to do to prepare.

The night before DRae's birthday, we make birthday cookies, which were pumpkin-themed cookies on a stick. Pretty cool actually.

Delaney and her lunch box. I remember when I was a kid that getting hot lunch at school was the cool thing to do. Delaney was beside herself happy when she got her "cold lunch" lunch box from Blue Grandma and Grandpa.

This is Jon. We celebrated Adelyn's 4th birthday party over the course of a few days. Parents party, grandparents party and kids party. She was very spoiled. Can't believe this girl is four! When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
