Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders.
Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition.
Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish.
Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down.
Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance.
Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
On our way home, we got stopped on the pass for the roadwork blasting. Took the opportunity to snap a few pics of this beauty.
Adelyn with my hat, a rain coat, pajamas, tennis shoes and her football...or Wednesday at our house.
Not only does Addy play softball, but she also plays on a select soccer team of Kittitas and Ellensburg girls. We played a huge tourney in Yakima a couple of weeks ago. Learned a few lessons, but played some great soccer.
Del and Dad at the Bares and Broncs futurity at the arena.
5th grade field trip to the Washington State Capitol.
Interesting story about the US Flag when the Union was expanding rapidly. With so many states joining the Union in the late 1800s, the government decided that instead of making a new flag every time a new state formed, they would have one new flag a year on the 4th of July. Well, Washington was the final state in 1889 and as of June of 1890 no state had joined, and the Washington delegation was thrilled at the opportunity to have its US flag fly above the Capitol in DC. However, with Idaho joining the Union on July 3, 1890, it ruined the chance of a US flag with 42 stars to be flown in DC. This flag is sealed in the state capitol in Olympia and was never flown in DC.
The girls at Soap Lake, on our way to Coulee City's Last Stand Rodeo.
Ummmm........it rained there. Very fun. Actually it was.
Jon and Adelyn took off to Rattlesnake Ledge near North Bend. Great hike.
Me and the girls at the bottom of the hike.

Okay... Love the family pics, but I have to say that I am excited to learn that Idaho messed up the Left Coast's chance at their national flag. Thanks for the tidbit bro. That will come in handy.
