Addy's birthday extravaganza!

This is Jon. Adelyn was able to celebrate her birthday on three different days thanks to a spread out family doing their best in showering Adelyn with gifts, praise, attention and love. I can't believe Addy Bear is three, it was just yesterday it seems that all 8 pounds, 8.2 ounces of her were entering this world.

One rare moment where she's actually paying attention to the camera when Blue Grandma and Grandpa visited with Uncle Logan and Aunt Lyndsay.

She wasn't quite sure why Grandma got her this, but these are her new helmet, pads and gloves for something that would come the next morning.
She did use the padding for protection while she and Delaney put the hurt on Uncle Logan.

Addy, Sissy and cousins anxiously awaiting the pinata. Great idea from Brittany. She kept the action going for the kids to play outside with the pinata, taking their best shot at breaking open the loot.

Great job by Daddy of capturing the action.

After a few hits, punches and pulling, the pinata broke and it was a frenzy of screams, little arms and fingers and plenty of candy and prizes. Again, great thinking Brittany! Delaney has already put in a request for her October birthday.

The Idaho cousins (Jocelyn, Jayden, Jeffery and soon-to-be-born Baby Guddat) gave Adelyn a princess purse with earrings and a necklace!

When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
