Happy Anniversary, Brittany!

Eight years ago, Brittany said "I do!" (and I breathed a sigh of relief!)


Two very cute pictures of me and my bride, taken by Delaney, our budding photographer. Below, however, was the reality that Brittany and I didn't spend our actual anniversary day alone, which was OK, because we got the previous weekend to ourselves. Adelyn had to get in as many shots as she could and it took a few minutes to actually get a shot she wasn't sneaking into.




I was joking the other day about how I vowed to make every anniversay day a "passion-filled day of romance" and clearly the above pictures prove that. I must've made that vow before we had kids!

This is Jon. We celebrated Adelyn's 4th birthday party over the course of a few days. Parents party, grandparents party and kids party. She was very spoiled. Can't believe this girl is four! When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
