Trip to Cooper Lake

This is Jon. We're finally blogging again. We took our time getting a new laptop, took some more time getting used to it and now are starting to slowly get back into the groove of being completely tied to our computer.

Last weekend, the girls and I went up into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness to enjoy Cooper Lake. It's a little drive getting there, but totally worth it. The lake is pretty secluded, there were plenty of people there, but nobody around us, which was great. We hiked around and found our own little piece of beach and shade.

We all went swimming. It took some getting used to. As you can tell in the background, this lake is fed from snow runoff from the Stuart Range behind us.

When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
