Soccer studs......

This is Jon. Since the elementary school and playground is a block away, we're finding ourselves over there more often now that the wintertime is past us (of course, it did snow until about noon on Friday, only to be totally gone by 5 p.m.). The girls love the big toys, swings and slides and we came across a few soccer balls left from recess I'm sure that the girls latched on to pretty quickly.

I'm actually impressed by this move because Adelyn is correctly protecting the ball, while changing directions all while keeping the possession away from Brittany. A split second later, she was on the ground, but that wasn't what was recorded, so it didn't happen, right?

Seven years of soccer and I've still got it.........sorry Addy.

So cute.

We think Adelyn will be a goalie since she had this habit of picking up the ball.

See? Here she is again.

When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
