This is Jon. As I've said in earlier posts, we're backed up with a bunch of photos because we're just now getting around to downloading the last 2+ months of memories. Below are some Father's Day pics of me and my girls. Delaney painted a picture of a fish with the words "I Love You Dad" on the side. I see it every morning when I get ready for work. I sometimes try and convince the girls that mommy gave me her car and I traded for it with my red car. This day the girls believed me and proceded to wash it for me. Cuddling with my girls. Adelyn had passed out by this time. We were all actually really sick this weekend. Brittany barely got out of bed and the girls and I just watched movies. Adelyn is again passed out. It wasn't necessarily for Father's Day, but Dad and I took a hike up Granite Mountain off of the west slope of Snoqualmie Pass last month. We used it as a training hike for Mt. St. Helens which is this Tuesday. Here is the view after tw...

This is Jon. I'm happy to report that our garden has taken a turn for the better. After a very wet May and early June, we weren't quite sure what to expect as we headed into the hot months of summer. The photos below are about a week or two old, but it shows some of the growth. One of my gardening buddies hanging out with me in the corn. Delaney was helping out with the weeding one Saturday morning and was very supportive and full of encouragement. Please take your attention away from the ground cover of weeds. We've been trying to weed every weekend, that doesn't always happen. We've also been trying to keep it as natural and chemical free. The corn is at least a foot higher today than what we see here. A few stalks are growing ears as well. Beans in the planter box in the foreground are already being picked. Brittany sauted some of them for dinner today. My meathook of a fist giving you a comparisson of what my tomatoes look like on the Topsy Turvy. I have 11 t...
Trip to Cooper Lake

This is Jon. We're finally blogging again. We took our time getting a new laptop, took some more time getting used to it and now are starting to slowly get back into the groove of being completely tied to our computer. Last weekend, the girls and I went up into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness to enjoy Cooper Lake. It's a little drive getting there, but totally worth it. The lake is pretty secluded, there were plenty of people there, but nobody around us, which was great. We hiked around and found our own little piece of beach and shade. Brittany and the girls eating lunch, taking in the views. We all went swimming. It took some getting used to. As you can tell in the background, this lake is fed from snow runoff from the Stuart Range behind us. Cutest couple. Cutest sisters.

...we haven't had the ability to post blog entries or at least post photos as our laptop has gone to the big motherboard in the sky. It died a few days before the Fourth of July weekend and it's amazing how much you're tied to a computer at home or at work. Here's the update over the last month or so: Delaney's lost a third tooth, so she's missing her two bottom front teeth and another front top tooth. She kind of looks like a cute hillbilly right now. We headed over to Ocean Shores a couple of weeks ago and couldn't pull the kids out of the water or off the beach. It was great weather as well. The girls (all three of them, including my wonderful wife) are great campers. They love to camp in the tent, love a camp fire and really don't mind that things can get a bit dirty. Fourth of July was great. I did the PA announcing for Ellensburg's community celebration and we finished that night watching the fireworks with friends from church. We were a b...

This is Jon. We've had a bike for Delaney for about 9 months now, but up until the last week or so, she hasn't wanted anything to do with it. We attribute her new interest in the bike to being older and much more confident in herself to try new things. She's picked it up well and since these photos were taken over Memorial Day weekend, she continues to just grab the bike and roll. It's been great to watch.
Last day of school for Delaney!

This is Jon. Thursday was Delaney's last day of Head Start. We can't believe it's already one school year in the books for her. We're so proud of D-Rae! She's improved leaps and bounds in many subjects and in her coordination and confidence. Congrats Delaney! She wanted to wear something pretty for the last day, so we went with her pink dress and her matching pink butterfly sweater since it's still cold and rainy outside. Proud Daddy right before a trip to the classroom! Every month or so, the staff would change the theme of the room, which I thought was really cool. This one is obviously camping and outdoors (you can see a small portion of the tree in the right corner), but they've done a farmer's market, fire station, princess castle... it's really cool to see the change. D-Rae and Addy Bear in the reading area. To their left is a bank of windows with flower pots on the counter. Immediately beyond the windows was the classroom garden, which Del...
