Last day of school for Delaney!

This is Jon. Thursday was Delaney's last day of Head Start. We can't believe it's already one school year in the books for her. We're so proud of D-Rae! She's improved leaps and bounds in many subjects and in her coordination and confidence. Congrats Delaney!

She wanted to wear something pretty for the last day, so we went with her pink dress and her matching pink butterfly sweater since it's still cold and rainy outside.

Every month or so, the staff would change the theme of the room, which I thought was really cool. This one is obviously camping and outdoors (you can see a small portion of the tree in the right corner), but they've done a farmer's market, fire station, princess castle... it's really cool to see the change.

D-Rae and Addy Bear in the reading area. To their left is a bank of windows with flower pots on the counter. Immediately beyond the windows was the classroom garden, which Delaney helped tend to...kind of like all her help in our garden at home.

Very pretty outfit on Delaney for last day of school, so glad Daddy got to go too! The classroom looks like it was so much fun. Congratulations Delaney, now comes Kindergarden

When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
