Guddat Summer 2016
Hello everyone. It's about time for a blog update on the Guddats!
We like fire at our house. The girls always want to see large flames and I never want to disappoint them. We certainly enjoy the backyard campfires.
We also enjoy climbing on the roof to explore the metropolis of Kittitas from above.
OK, random picture of an airline toilet. However, Adelyn and I had the opportunity to explore a retired Air Force One. This toilet was used by JFK and LBJ. Walking through the plane was like walking through history. Very cool.
Adders and I outside of the plane.
We were in Seattle after her field trip so we explored the waterfront.
Last day of third and fifth grade for the girls in June.
We went up to Chinook Pass and had to stop when we saw snow. This picture was taken July 9th and there was still a ton of snow. It was also in the low 40s.
Waterfall at Boulder Cave.
Lost Lake near Snoqualmie Pass.
Me n' B at the Vanilla Ice concert.
First day of school for the girls. Adelyn is in 4th grade. Delaney is in her first year of middle school in 6th grade.
I've been hiking a lot lately. This is Red Top Lookout.
And this is the view of Mt. Stuart from the lookout.
360-degree views from the top. I kept hiking further and then turned around the snap this shot. You can see the lookout on the top of the highest rock formation.
I liked it so much that I took my three girls with me the next day.
Rattlesnake Dance Ridge. Very steep in some places, but a great view of the Kittitas Valley to the north and the serpentine Yakima River Canyon to the south.
The girls had their first flight. In August I took them to Montana with me to help Uncle Zach move.
Once we got there, we road tripped back in his car while he drove the U-Haul. They are both great toad trippers, but Delaney dozed off at times and Adelyn took advantage of that for a quick selfie.
