Christmas at Uncle Terry's

This is Jon. Christmas at Brittany's Uncle Terry and Aunt Cheryl's house is always fun. Lots of food, lots of family and the gift exchange contest is a competitive affair. I always look forward to it.

The family has the game Guitar Hero, which is awesome. In fact, they have the Rock Band (I think that's what it's called) with a guitar, bass, drum and karaoke. Here is Brittany, Logan and cousin Emile. I think they were doing so poorly they got booed off the stage and the game automatically ended the song before the ending.

Every year Santa surprises the kids and arrives for gifts, songs and stories. This is a great thing Terry does. I'm almost 33 and I really look forward to this part. As Delaney's gotten older, she's become more willing to get to know Santa. This year was a groundbreaking year for her. We were so proud.

Inititally Addy wasn't quite there, yet. But she warmed up to him.

Addy got so bashful around Santa. She was just beside herself that he could be so nice to her!

Delaney obviously rewards Santa with a high five for a great gift.

After the presents and pictures came stories and songs. The girls sat there very attentive.

Those are some awesome pics and even better memories!! Your family looks wonderful! Merry Christmas!! P.S. We also were recently introduced to Beatles Rock Band, Jerrod and I would have stayed all night if it weren't for the kids, I'm still singing yellow submarine in my head!!!

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water. When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Adelyn Blair turns 4!

This is Jon. We celebrated Adelyn's 4th birthday party over the course of a few days. Parents party, grandparents party and kids party. She was very spoiled. Can't believe this girl is four! Addy Bear with her new Barbie Bike. Two lovely ladies... Getting ready to dig in... She looks like she's ready to hit the town in her new outfit. A big boost in her piggy bank!
