Craft time with the girls

This is Jon. I came home to this the other day. Brittany put up two big pieces of construction paper and let the girls get creative. I thought it was a pretty genius idea.

In typical fashion, Delaney would dance after changing marker colors.

Afterward, Delaney and Adelyn sat down as Delaney read her a story. Very cute.

As you can see, Addy was very happy and entertained.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water. Delaney and I made cupcakes

Delaney and I made strawberry cupcakes for her birthday and she had a blast! She is a regular little Betty Crocker. The mix smelled so good she kept just standing there and sniffing it, it was so cute! Delaney loves to crack eggs and add them to bowls and I think we only got a tiny shell in the cupckes. She tried to pour the mix into the pans but just kept getting frustrated because she kept spilling. So I just reminded her how she got to frost them the next day with her friend Megan and she was happy again. She loves to bake with me and is always a big help. Her fave part is when they come out of the oven all hot and risen, she says, "yay!"

The Stargazers are blooming!

Jon planted Stargazer Lily bulbs that he wasn't sure if they were going to bloom or not and surprise! They have been blooming this past week and they are gorgeous. He is so sweet because he says he planted them as a declaration of love for me. He used to get these for me in arrangements when we first dating and I fell in love with them as I fell in love with him. I appreciate the gesture so much because it is the little things like this that always remind why we belong together. I love you Jon!
