Celebrating with Delaney's friends!

This is Jon. It's been a couple of days since Delaney's official "Girls only birthday party!" and I still haven't completely recovered yet. Two friends from our church, Megan and Leah, came over to celebrate, make cupcakes, watch High School Musical and run ragged outside on the swing set. They all had a great time and Delaney slept hard that night.

This is typical of the entire day. Leah ate every ounce of frosting in sight, Delaney hoarded her cupcakes and Megan showed them off.

We survived! Brittany did a great job in keeping everybody happy and ensuring nobody got too crazy, even when swooning over Troy Bolton in High School Musical. I love taking photos with Brittany. She's so beautiful!

When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
