Celebration on Delaney's birthday....

This is Jon. Blue Grandma and Grandpa (Brittany's parents) came up to celebrate Delaney's fifth birthday on Tuesday.

Delaney started her morning with little chocolate donuts. It's got the sugar she needs to keep her going through the day.........

Blue Grandpa found this bike for Delaney. The coordination isn't there quite yet, but she does enjoy riding it, as long as I'm next to her the whole time.

Her helmet says "Lil' Strawberry Sheriff."

Adelyn had to get into the mix, too.

Later, they raced Grandpa down Okanogan Street. He took third place in the race. Third place isn't bad.

When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
