First trip to Rainier for the kids!

This is Jon. Jerrod, Dad and I wanted to do something different for the kids the day before the Guddat Family Reunion and it was pretty clear very early on that a trip to Paradise on Mount Rainier was the only thing we wanted to do. Rainier is God's gift to us Pacific Northwesterners. Being the expert he is of the surrounding area, Dad picked out a trail that wasn't too difficult for the kids' first time on the mountain.

Me and my girl in front of a meadow. We're going to try and come back in September when the huckleberries will fill the area. The park ranger also said that's when we might come across a bear or two. That sounded good to one of us.

I love how Delaney is holding on to her grandpa.
