Trip to Ocean Shores

This is Jon. We took the girls to Ocean Shores last weekend and they had a great time. The last weekend in June is the sand castle and wood carving weekend and it was pretty packed, but not so much to where we didn't enjoy the sun and sand.

This picture was taken at the jetty. By this time we had been to the beach for a good couple of hours and the girls were dog tired. We woke them up to play on the rocks of the jetty and they weren't having anything to do with it. The last two times Brittany and I have been to
Ocean Shores, it's been in the middle of the fall for our anniversary (1st and 5th anniversaries), so the weather creates some crazy waves at the jetty. There weren't any this day, in fact there was barely a breeze on Saturday.

There were dogs on the beach and a group of them were barking for a short period of time before stopping. Not sure if Adelyn's suggestion had anything to do with that.

This is Jon. We celebrated Adelyn's 4th birthday party over the course of a few days. Parents party, grandparents party and kids party. She was very spoiled. Can't believe this girl is four! When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
