Another quick check in...

This is what 11 happy years looks like. Happy Anniversary to my bride...
...and honestly, this might be better proof of it. I was feeling out for the count on Sunday and Delaney caught Brittany taking care of me.
We're pretty low key for birthdays around here. We celebrate them well, we put the birthday girl on a pedestal, but we don't have blown out affairs. Delaney invited a couple of friends, Matti and Sydney, to lunch in Ellensburg, then over to our house for movies, games and playing outside. That's really all they want, which makes me happy that the girls don't need something over the top.
The girls are enthralled with Hocus Pocus.
Delaney's favorites: White cake, chocolate frosting and hot tamales.
My birthday girl! Nine years old! Can't believe it!

This is Jon. We celebrated Adelyn's 4th birthday party over the course of a few days. Parents party, grandparents party and kids party. She was very spoiled. Can't believe this girl is four! When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
