Mommy's Big Girl!




Delaney and I have found a friendship this summer that is so much fun. She is in a stage right now where she likes to get blankets and cuddle, which I certainly don't turn down from such a busy girl. She asks pretty much every night, "can we cuddle and watch a mobie (movie)?" It's so cute! She wears glasses and is not entirely fond of them, so her and I wear them together and are glasses twins. Whenever I wear mine she magically wants to wear hers, at least that's one good example I can set. (jk) We are just so proud of our big girl and how much she has progressed just in the last few months. She almost has her ABC's down now and counting to 10 is pretty good. I just can't believe she will be four in October!

I love the smiles of Mommy and Delaney in these pics! Clever... Brittany putting on your specs & Delaney runs to put hers on. When Jon was young, he didn't like to wear his glasses either!

When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
