Mother's Day





Delaney and I went to our first Mother/Daughter tea party at church in honor of Mother's Day. We got all dressed up and had tea and lemonade and cookies. She had a ball practicing being a little lady and drinking out of real tea cups! After the tea party the girls and I and my Mom and brothers visited my Grandma in Moses Lake for Mother's Day. We took her to lunch and got to catch up with everyone. It was a great Day and that was only Saturday!
For Mother's Day itself Jon booked me a massage in Yakima at this salon that started in Seattle which was really chic. I had a footbath, a waterfall shower, and a massage, it was amazing! Then we had dinner at my at one of my favorite restaurants. Thanks for such a great day honey!

I'm sure proud of Jon first of all for choosing Brittany as Mommy to your children.... and ...how smart he is in knowing just what Mother's Day gift to "shower" on you! A massage...Ahhhhhhh

And oh...by the way, Thank you Brittany, Jon, Delaney & Adelyn for the flower planting kit. The seeds were planted and I have 2 inch high plants!!!

When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
