Jon and Brittany in Vegas, baby!

Jon and I went to Vegas to see the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas a week and a half or so ago. It was an experience that every rodeo fan should have at least once in their lives! It is held at UNLV in the Thomas and Mack Center, which is their basketball and event arena. The rodeo was great. It was a huge production, just like you would expect in Vegas. They had newer country acts open every night and we got to see the Zak Brown Band (they sing the song "chicken fried") and Jack Ingram. The rodeo action was awesome and we had so much fun rooting for our hometown ropers even though they started doing less than stellar once we got there. We did some other fun stuff in Vegas too. Jon took me to see Carrot Top at the Luxor to celebrate my 30th birthday and we laughed til it hurt! We also ate at Jon's favorite hamburger joint, Fatburger a couple times, which I have to admit I like to grub down on too. We stayed at the Stratosphere Hotel so we got to observe the amazing views but didn't get to go outside due to the crazy weather Vegas was just starting to get when we were there. The wind at the top was like 50 miles an hour the night we were supposed to go up. Then right after we left they got like 7 inches of snow! So needless to say we didn't exactly enjoy the weather, but we still had a lot of fun. We are already planning our trip for next year...

WOW...what a production the Nationals are. I'm so glad Brittany got a chance to go down too!!! Oh boy those slots looked good. Texas Tea in the nickel section for me!!! My question: with the weather the way it was...did Jon ride the 3 events he wanted to at the Stratosphere?
