My baby girl is 1!

We had Adelyn's 1st birthday party on Saturday at our house. She was not in her best of moods due to being a little overwhelmed by the all the people but she had a good time. She got lots of goodies from her family and her very own mini birthday cake. Her Grandma Cathy made an awesome orange and pink crown shaped cake for everyone else. Surprisingly Addy wasn't that big of a fan of the whole cake thing. Her favorite thing was when I filled her room with balloons and let her chase them around and pounce on them, it was so funny! The biggest birthday surprise of all was that she started walking the next day! It's so exciting, she has been trying for a while and then boom she just took off! We want to say thank you so much to everyone who came to Adelyn's party and helped make it the special day that it was and I am sure we will always remember it.

Happy Birthday Addy! I can't believe she's already 1. She is absolutely adorable (I can't believe I said that considering she looks just like you Jon). We can't wait to see you guys again.

When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
