The Glow Worms off to a great start!

This is Jon. I'm coaching soccer again, this time for Adelyn's U7 team. Like always, the first practice or two was centered around skill building and picking a team name. After a few names were considered, the bright yellow jerseys we wore reminded me of the glow worm toys of my childhood and the name stuck. We're the Mighty Glow Worms! In last week's jamboree, we had two wins and a tie. In today's 40-minute game (where my 8 kids were tired after it was all said and done) we put on a show of dominance and won 9-0. The coach's daughter scored two goals, which means Adelyn rewarded herself with a popsicle afterward. I was proud of our team and the team's families who came out in droves to support their kids.

This is Jon. We celebrated Adelyn's 4th birthday party over the course of a few days. Parents party, grandparents party and kids party. She was very spoiled. Can't believe this girl is four! When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
