Checking in on King Felix

This is Jon. We decided to head over to Seattle to take in a Mariners game on Friday. We watched King Felix pitch a gem of a game and then watched the bullpen nearly lose it in a 6-4 victory in front of nearly 40,000 fans, including the five in our contingent since Uncle Jim met us at the game.
The girls before the game. The M's gave out free T-shirts to the first 25,000 fans and we got there in time. You'll have to excuse Adelyn's expression as she was too excited to sit still and cooperate for the camera, but she's also a jokester so it's par for the course.

Jim works just across the street from the Safe and the Clink so it was an easy commute for him to hang out.

When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
