Working in the back 40

I wouldn't say that we're totally done with the cold weather, but we're certainly taking advantage of the warm days. Let's remember that we had two days of snow here less than two weeks ago. Me and the girls have been working out in the yard, prepping the "back 40" for a bounty of fruits and vegetables. Adelyn took some time to help me spray some weeds a little bit ago (and as you can see she's bundled up). This weekend, me and my three girls fired up "Big Daddy Ray" for the first time. "Big Daddy Ray" is my rototiller named after my Grandpa Guddat who originally owned it and it's been handed down and it's my turn to have fun with it.

When Mommy's sick and Daddy's in charge...

...this happens... Addy is potty training (quite successfully and very quickly I might add) so she's pretty much pantsless 24/7. She doesn't usually wear Brittany's boots, though. That's Addy again, wearing Delaney's wicked witch hat. Don't know where she got it. Delaney and her sunflower she's been growing since the last few days of school. It finally bloomed at the beginning of this week...and Delaney's wearing Mommy's boots now.

Quarterly update from KTown

Spring sports with Delaney playing volleyball for the second straight year. This year was noticeably different as her league included fifth through eighth graders. Adelyn with her second year of softball. Again, a noticeably different level of competition. Delaney will eat anything, just like me. Food is fun, especially when you try new things. We're at the Crab Pot along the Seattle waterfront and we got a seafeast of salmon, crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage and corn. It was deee-lish. Dee Dee and her shrimp...right before she ripped its head off to grub down. Kittitas day at the Mariners game. 80 of our closest friends from KTown in attendance. Took Adelyn and Brittany to Saltwater State Park. Adelyn loved the shells, crabs and the clams underneath the surface squirting water.
