More outdoors with my girls........

This is Jon. More pics of the great outdoors.
We have had terrible luck with the fruit/vegetable garden this year. No cherries, apricots, beans, peas, watermelon, pumpkins, and our onions are pint sized and wildflowers sporadic. We did get a fair amount of raspberries and our tomato plant is showing some signs of life. What I did succeed with was tulips in the spring and stargazers and gladiolas in the summer. In fact, this fall and next spring we're thinking of planting more flowers instead of food just to mix it up.
It's started. Delaney is calling friends on the phone. Yes, the friends that live a block away. Yes, the friends she spends all summer with playing outside. And since we're the only one's in the world that have a land line, every call is long distance, so it allows Delaney to steal our cell phones.
Camping in the backyard. We just haven't had the consistency to our weekends this summer. Either I work on a Saturday or we have a wedding (three this summer) to attend, but it's gotten in the way of a traveling weekend. So, me and the kids went out into our backyard to spend the night.
Wanapum Lake cove south of Vantage.
View from a bluff, looking NE overlooking the Columbia River just north of the Wanapum Dam. In the distance you can see the Vantage Bridge heading over to Grant County.
A few days later, we went to Wanapum State Park (Discovery Pass, baby!) to play in the Columbia River/Wanapum Lake.
This was supposed to be a Daddy and Addy pic, but the fish in our family, Delaney somewhat photobombed the scene.
Searching for seashells. We had a pile of them that made it home with us.
